Steve Bannon, a long-time ally of President Donald Trump, has pleaded responsible to defrauding donors who paid for a wall on the US-Mexico border.
Bannon acquired a sentence of conditional discharge for 3 years, which suggests he won’t serve jail time underneath a plea settlement.
The US Division of Justice accused Bannon and three others of defrauding lots of of hundreds of donors in reference to the “We Construct the Wall” marketing campaign, which raised $25m (£19m).
Bannon’s lawyer mentioned on Tuesday he did not personally pocket any of the cash.
