Bay Space innovators and theologians unite in free public lectures to deal with present challenges
BERKELEY, Calif. — Pacific Faculty of Faith (PSR), a progressive and interdenominational theological seminary, immediately introduced its public 2024 Earl Lecture Collection entitled ‘Disruptive AI, Christian Nationalism, and Democracy’ starting September 17. With AI creating quickly and the Christian Nationalism motion on the rise, PSR goals to equip non secular leaders, activists, and professionals with the instruments to deal with these cross-points successfully.
Featured audio system Dr. John Robichaux, Government Director for UC Berkeley’s Coleman Fung Institute, and Dr. Susan Abraham, Vice President of Tutorial Affairs and Dean of PSR, will discover the connection of AI and faith, the dangers every poses to democracy, and the potential of each for marginalized and faith-based communities.
The free and public four-week collection shall be delivered each face-to-face and on-line and contains lectures and a screening of the documentary movie, Dangerous Religion: Christian Nationalism’s Unholy Conflict on Democracy. Extending the 157-yearlong legacy of PSR’s engagement in social justice issues, this collection is a continuation of the historic Earl Lectures through which public figures like Maya Angelou, Alice Walker, Elie Wiesel, and Theodore Roosevelt graced the platform.
